Rubber Sealing Components for Oil & Gas, Manufactured in India
FKM, NBR and EPDM sealing components for upstream, petrochemical and desalination service, manufactured to your drawing at our ISO 9001:2015 facility in Nashik, India.
Which seal compound is used for hydrocarbon service?
FKM is the usual choice where petroleum oils, fuels or solvents meet sustained heat: it is rated to +250 °C, continuous to +200 °C. NBR suits moderate-temperature oil contact to +120 °C. EPDM is for water and steam, not hydrocarbons. Margo is ISO 9001:2015 certified; NORSOK M-710 and API qualification is a 2027 roadmap item, not held today.
COMPONENTS WE SUPPLY FOR OIL & GAS
Engineered to Spec, Not to Catalogue
We don’t stock generic parts. Each component is produced against your drawing or an OEM sample — compound, hardness and geometry matched to the media and service conditions rather than picked from a catalogue.

WHERE OUR COMPONENTS ARE USED
Built into the equipment that moves hydrocarbons.
Valves & actuators
O-rings and seal profiles for gate, ball and control valves, plus pneumatic and hydraulic actuators across process trains. Protective boots for exposed actuator rods and valve stems.
Pumps & compressors
Rotary shaft seals and static gaskets for centrifugal and reciprocating equipment in upstream and downstream duty. Bonded mounts for pump and compressor skids.
Pipeline & flange sealing
Moulded gaskets for flanged joints, produced against the dimensional standard your drawing calls out — ASME B16.21, EN 1514-1 or JIS B2404.
Desalination & water treatment
EPDM and FKM sealing for high-salinity and chemically aggressive process streams, including membrane housing and pressure vessel joints.
BUILT FOR OIL & GAS CONDITIONS
Sealing that holds under pressure and chemistry.
Hydrocarbon service is unforgiving. Compound selection is driven by the media, service temperature and pressure class of your application, not by catalogue availability.
Chemical resistance
FKM compounds resist petroleum oils, fuels and many solvents at sustained temperature — the default for aggressive process media. NBR where contact is moderate-temperature oil.
Temperature range
Compounds selected across the full service envelope: FKM to +250 °C, silicone from −60 °C, EPDM from −40 °C — sub-zero ambient through to sustained high-temperature process duty.
Pressure cycling
Geometry and hardness chosen for repeated pressure cycling rather than static sealing alone. Back-up rings specified where extrusion gap and pressure require them.
Contamination tolerance
Sealed geometries maintain integrity in particulate-laden, wet and corrosive atmospheres typical of process plant.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions from Gulf buyers.
Do you hold NORSOK M-710 or API elastomer qualification?
Not today. The qualification programme is under way and is targeted for 2027. Margo holds ISO 9001:2015, certificate 09111526A, and supplies hydrocarbon-service sealing against controlled drawing revisions with material certificates and batch records issued per shipment. Where your specification calls for NORSOK or API qualification, tell us at enquiry stage and we will confirm the current position on that programme before you commit engineering time.
What certifications does Margo hold?
Margo Rubber Products holds ISO 9001:2015, certificate 09111526A, issued by Integral Certification Ltd and valid to 21 February 2027. We are actively upgrading our quality management system to IATF 16949:2016, with certification targeted by the end of 2026, and ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and NORSOK/API qualification targeted for 2027. Material test reports and batch certificates are issued with every shipment.
What is the typical lead time for components shipped to the UAE?
Three to four weeks ex-works Nashik from drawing approval, or two weeks on an express basis where we have confirmed capacity. A new component with tooling to cut adds the tooling lead time, quoted per part. Nhava Sheva to Jebel Ali runs a further five to nine days port to port — one of the shortest lanes out of India — with air freight quoted where a shutdown date requires it.
Which compounds do you recommend for hydrocarbon service?
FKM is the usual choice where petroleum oils, fuels or solvents are present at sustained temperature, rated to +250 °C. NBR suits moderate-temperature oil contact to +120 °C. EPDM is specified for water, steam and desalination duty but must not be used in petroleum service. Send your media, service temperature and pressure class and we will confirm the compound and hardness.
Can you supply against our own drawings and standards?
Yes. Components are produced against your controlled drawing revision, with no substitutions without approval. Standards are named by number on the documentation — AS568, ISO 3601, JIS B2401 and DIN 3771 for O-rings; ASME B16.21, EN 1514-1 and JIS B2404 for flange gaskets.
Do you provide material certificates with shipments?
Yes. Raw material certificates and batch records are retained and issued per shipment, together with the inspection release data for the despatch lot. For Saudi consignments we also supply the technical file your conformity body needs for the SABER submission.
Ready to specify sealing components from the Nashik plant?
Send the drawing, an existing part, or the equipment make and model — with the media, the service temperature and the pressure class. Our engineering team responds within 48 hours with a compound and hardness recommendation, dimensional confirmation and a quotation, and an indicative Jebel Ali transit for your consignment.

FKM vs NBR: Which Rubber Is Right for Your Application?
Compares fluorocarbon and nitrile across temperature, chemical resistance and cost-in-use — FKM −20 to +250 °C, NBR −30 to +120 °C. FKM is the answer where temperature or aggressive media demand it; NBR is the answer everywhere else, and it costs a fraction as much.
Margo manufactures FKM (Viton) O-rings and seals rated for -20°C to 200°C continuous service, suited to oil & gas, petrochemical, and desalination sealing per ISO 9001:2015 quality systems. For NORSOK M-710 or API 6A critical subsea applications, contact us to discuss compound-specific certification, this is a roadmap item, not yet certified.
