Anti-Vibration Mounts

A/C Extractor Damper Weight

Rubber-bonded damper weight for cabin air extractor vents — adds mass at the flap so it stops fluttering and buzzing under airflow, without stiffening it enough to stop the vent working. Moulded and bonded to your drawing at our ISO 9001:2015 plant in Nashik.

Key advantages

Why Specifiers Choose Margo

  • Stops the flutter

The flap is deliberately light so it lifts at almost no pressure — which is exactly what makes it buzz at road speed. Added mass raises its inertia so airflow pulses no longer move it.

  • Tuned, not just heavy

Too much mass and the cabin stops venting; too little and the buzz stays. Mass, rubber hardness and the flap’s own opening pressure are set together — send the flap and we quote against it.

  • Bonded in-house

A steel mass in a moulded rubber body. The bond is what fails first if the compound is wrong — and moulding and bonding happen here, under one set of batch records.

  • Rated for an open vent

EPDM, −40 to +140 °C. The extractor is open to outside air, and a damper that crazes under ozone or stiffens in the cold changes how the flap behaves.

Manufacturing process

From Compound to Certification

  1. Material compounding

Polymer blending, additive integration and batch QC in our in-house lab. Damping is set here — a vibration weight works by turning movement into heat, so the compound is chosen for loss rather than for bounce.

  2. Mould design & CNC

Precision steel tooling manufactured in-house and held as a controlled record.

  3. Moulding

Injection, compression or transfer, selected for the part geometry. For this part: transfer moulded with the steel mass bonded in — transfer is the correct process for a part with an insert, and it is one of the three Margo runs.

  4. Post-cure & trimming

Oven post-cure for dimensional stability, followed by flash trimming.

  5. Quality inspection

Dimensional check, hardness testing and batch sampling before release.

  6. Export packaging

Industrial packing with documentation for international shipping. Bonded assemblies are packed so the metal mass cannot swing against the rubber in transit. ISPM-15 treated pallets where timber packaging is used.

Quality assurance

Certified to International Standards

Every product leaves our facility with a documentation package — material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance — giving traceability from raw material to finished part.

FAQ

Technical & Commercial Questions

Answers to the most common questions from engineering teams and procurement managers worldwide.

  • What is the minimum order quantity for this part?

We supply in bulk. The minimum run is 10,000 pieces per part number, per compound, or quoted against the part where geometry or tooling makes that unrealistic. Prototype and first-article lots sit outside the minimum.

  • Can you match a competitor specification or reverse-engineer an existing part?

Yes. Send the physical sample or the drawing and we will produce a dimensioned drawing and confirm compound selection before tooling. A worn part measures smaller than it was made — we dimension to the original intent, not to the wear, and confirm with you first.

  • What file formats do you accept for drawings?

PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP. A dimensioned 2D drawing with tolerances is enough to quote; a 3D model helps with tooling. If you only have a sample, send the sample — we will produce the drawing.

  • Do you provide material test reports with each shipment?

Yes. Material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance ship with every consignment, and batch records are retained per shipment. Hardness, tensile to ASTM D412 and compression set to ASTM D395 Method B are tested in-house.

  • What are your payment and delivery terms for international orders?

TT and LC accepted, discussed per order. Ex-works Nashik or FOB Nhava Sheva. Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are issued with every consignment.
