Rubber Support Pads — Load-Bearing and Vibration-Isolating

Moulded rubber pads that carry load and keep vibration out of what sits on them. Specified on load and deflection rather than hardness alone — because a pad’s stiffness comes from its shape as much as its compound. Supplied plain or with a bonded metal insert.

TEMPERATURE
Per compound — −20 to +90 °C in natural rubber, −40 to +120 °C in neoprene

Compound

Natural Rubber

Polyisoprene (NR)

Temperature range

−20 to +90 °C

For this part

The classic mounting compound. Best fatigue resistance and highest resilience of the eight, so it survives repeated loading and returns to height. Not for oil, and it perishes in prolonged sunlight

Key advantages

Why Specifiers Choose Margo

  • Hardness will not tell you how it behaves

Rubber cannot be compressed in volume, only bulged sideways — so a thin wide pad is far stiffer than a thick narrow one of the same compound and hardness. Send us the load and the deflection you can allow, and we will set the shape and the hardness together.

  • It keeps sinking after you fit it

Rubber under permanent load creeps for years. We allow for it at the design stage rather than shipping a pad that meets its deflection on day one and sits 2 mm lower at year five, closing your clearances.

  • Natural rubber, unless the position rules it out

It has the best fatigue resistance we mix, which is why mounts are made from it. Where the pad is exposed or sees oil we move to neoprene and say why — the trade is fatigue life against weathering, and it should be a decision, not a default.

  • Bonded inserts, moulded in one piece

Most mounting pads need a steel plate or a bolt sleeve. We bond rubber to metal in-house, so the insert is moulded in rather than fitted afterwards, and there is no joint to work loose.

Industries served

Global Applications

  • Automotive

Body and cab mounting pads on ladder-frame vehicles, radiator and fuel-tank support pads, load-bed packing

  • Heavy Industry

Machine feet and anti-vibration pads under compressors, pumps and generator sets — where the disturbing frequency governs the design

  • Agriculture

Cab and platform mounting pads on tractors and harvesters

  • Infrastructure

    Plant and equipment mounting

Manufacturing process

From Compound to Certification

  1. Material compounding

Polymer blending, additive integration and batch QC in our in-house lab. The compound is chosen for fatigue life first on a load-bearing part.

  2. Mould Design & CNC

Mould design and CNC tool manufacture, in-house, held as a controlled record. Footprint and thickness are set together to reach the spring rate, since both govern how stiff the pad behaves.

  3. Compression Moulding

Compression moulding, with any steel insert bonded to the rubber in the same operation.

  4. Post-Cure & Trimming

Post-cure and trimming, and a bond check on inserted pads.

  5. Quality inspection

Dimensional check, hardness, and load-deflection tested on batch samples against the approved drawing.

  6. Export packaging

Industrial packing with documentation. Pads are packed unloaded, since rubber stored under compression takes a set. ISPM-15 treated pallets where timber is used.

Quality assurance

Certified to International Standards

Every product leaves our facility with a documentation package — material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance — giving traceability from raw material to finished part.

  • ISO 9001:2015 · Certificate 09111526A

Integral Certification Ltd · Valid to 21 February 2027

Scope: rubber moulded components — quality management, not a product approval

  • IATF 16949 — upgrade in progress, certification targeted by end 2026

  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 — targeted 2027

These are industrial and automotive mounting pads. We do not supply structural bearings for bridges or buildings, which are certified separately under EN 1337.

FAQ

Technical & Commercial Questions

Answers to the most common questions from engineering teams and procurement managers worldwide.

  • What is the minimum order quantity for this part?

We supply in bulk. The minimum run is 10,000 pieces per part number, per compound, or quoted against the part where geometry or tooling makes that unrealistic. Prototype and first-article lots sit outside the minimum.

  • Can you match a competitor specification or reverse-engineer an existing part?

Yes — but send us the load as well as the pad. A used pad has crept and measures thinner than it was moulded, so copying its dimensions reproduces a part that is already part-worn. We work back from what it has to carry and how far it may sink.

  • What file formats do you accept for drawings?

PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP. Mark the load per pad, the deflection you can allow and the space available — those three, plus where the pad sits, are enough for us to quote. Hardness is our output, not your input.

  • Do you provide material test reports with each shipment?

Yes. Material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance ship with every consignment. Hardness, tensile to ASTM D412 and compression set to ASTM D395 Method B are tested in-house, and load-deflection is checked on batch samples against the approved drawing.

  • What are your payment and delivery terms for international orders?

TT and LC accepted, discussed per order. Ex-works Nashik or FOB Nhava Sheva. Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are issued with every consignment. Pads ship unloaded and unstacked under compression.

Need this part quoted?

Send the load per pad, the deflection you can allow and the space you have — a drawing if you have one, a sample if you do not. We return the pad geometry, the compound and the spring rate, then quote against your annual quantity. We respond within 48 hours.
