Commercial Vehicle Suspension Bump Stop

Moulded rubber suspension bump stop for commercial vehicles — limits axle, cab or load-body travel and takes the strike at the end of it, laden, on every rough surface. Moulded and bonded to your drawing at our ISO 9001:2015 plant in Nashik. Supplied to your drawing or sample. Fitments include Tata LPT, Ace and Intra platforms and comparable light and medium commercial vehicles.

Key advantages

Why Specifiers Choose Margo

  • Laden duty, not occasional duty

A commercial stop is loaded on every rough surface, not twice a year. Fatigue life governs, which is why natural rubber — not the cheapest compound — is the right specification.

  • Static load sizes it

Free height and static load, not hardness. A stop that sets loses height and starts striking earlier and harder every trip. Send the load, the height and the strike energy.

  • Bonded assemblies, in-house

Most commercial stops are rubber on a steel bracket or stud. We mould and bond in one process under one set of batch records — no external toolmaker, no split responsibility for the bond.

  • Compounded for the chassis, not the lab

Natural rubber is right for the load and vulnerable to ozone. We compound it with an anti-ozonant system for chassis exposure rather than switching to a weaker compound.

Global Applications

  • Sri Lanka

the largest single market for Tata Motors exports, at around 38% of shipments

  • Bangladesh

around 20% of Tata export shipments

  • Nepal

around 13%; the three together take roughly 71%

  • Commercial vehicles

trucks, tippers, buses and light commercials

  • Travel stops and buffers on plant, cranes and material handling

  • Access-door and panel stops on industrial enclosures

Manufacturing process

From Compound to Certification

  1. Material compounding

Polymer blending, additive integration and batch QC in our in-house lab. Anti-ozonant loading is set here, which is what makes a natural-rubber chassis part survive.

  2. Mould design & CNC

Precision steel tooling manufactured in-house and held as a controlled record.

  3. Compression and transfer moulding

Hydraulic press cycles at controlled temperature and pressure. Transfer where the steel bracket is bonded in, which is how this part is built

  4. Post-cure & trimming

Oven post-cure for dimensional stability, followed by flash trimming. Post-cure matters on a load-bearing part: an under-cured stop creeps.

  5. Quality inspection

Dimensional check, hardness testing and batch sampling before release. Free height and bond integrity are what is checked.

  6. Export packaging

Industrial packing with documentation. ISPM-15 treated pallets where timber packaging is used. Stops are packed loose, since rubber stored under load takes a set before it is ever fitted.

Quality assurance

Certified to International Standards

Every product leaves our facility with a documentation package — material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance — giving traceability from raw material to finished part.

FAQ

Technical & Commercial Questions

Answers to the most common questions from engineering teams and procurement managers worldwide.

  • What is the minimum order quantity for this part?

We supply in bulk. The minimum run is 10,000 pieces per part number, per compound, or quoted against the part where geometry or tooling makes that unrealistic. Prototype and first-article lots sit outside the minimum.

  • Can you match a competitor specification or reverse-engineer an existing part?

Yes. Send the old part or the OE number. We will produce a dimensioned drawing, confirm compound and bracket detail, and quote against it. A used bump stop has taken a set and measures short — we dimension to the original free height, not to the compressed sample.

  • What file formats do you accept for drawings?

PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP. A dimensioned 2D drawing with tolerances is enough to quote; a 3D model helps with tooling. If you only have the part, send the part — we will produce the drawing.

  • Do you provide material test reports with each shipment?

Yes. Material test reports, dimensional inspection sheets and a certificate of conformance ship with every consignment. Hardness, tensile to ASTM D412 and compression set to ASTM D395 Method B are tested in-house — on a load-bearing stop, compression set is the one to ask for.

  • What are your payment and delivery terms for international orders?

TT and LC accepted, discussed per order. Ex-works Nashik or FOB Nhava Sheva. Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are issued with every consignment.
