Edge Trim (All-Rubber) — Extruded U-Profiles for Panel Edges

All-rubber edge trim: extruded rubber U-profiles that push onto a panel edge, cover the sharp cut and seal the gap behind it. Internal fins grip the panel with no metal carrier. Extruded to your profile drawing or a sample at our plant in Vilholi, Nashik, in cut lengths or coils.

Key facts

All-rubber edge trim is an extruded rubber U-profile that pushes onto a panel edge, covers the sharp cut and seals the gap behind it, gripping with internal fins instead of a metal carrier. Margo Rubber extrudes edge trim to a profile drawing or sample in Vilholi, Nashik.

All-rubber edge trim suits a known panel thickness and a part fitted once; trim with a metal carrier grips harder over a wider thickness range. Margo Rubber extrudes edge trim in EPDM (−40 to +140 °C) for sun, rain and ozone, in cut lengths or coils.

Key advantages

Why Specifiers Choose Margo

  • Grip from the fins

All-rubber trim holds by its fins. If your panel range is wide, we tell you plainly when a metal-carrier trim is the better part.

  • Seal and trim in one

A sponge bulb can be co-extruded on the same profile, so one part covers the edge and seals the gap.

  • Corners without gaps

Joined corners on request, so a door frame does not leak where two cut ends meet.

  • From a sample

A short length of the old trim is enough to cut a die.

Global Applications

Manufacturing process

From Compound to Certification

  1. Material compounding

Compound mixed in-house for the medium, the weather and the temperature on your drawing. Cure is checked on our ODR rheometer.

  2. Die design

An extrusion die cut to your profile drawing. A sample of the old profile is enough to start.

  3. Extrusion and cure

Extruded and continuously cured on the line, then cut to length or coiled.

  4. Finishing

Cut lengths, joined corners or a self-adhesive backing, as the drawing calls for.

  5. Inspection

Profile dimensions against the drawing, hardness and batch sampling.

  6. Export packing

Coiled or boxed in cut lengths so the profile does not take a set in transit.

Quality assurance

Tested in Our Own Lab, Documented in Every Shipment

Every consignment ships with a material test report, a dimensional inspection sheet and a certificate of conformance. Hardness, tensile and elongation (ASTM D412), density, compression set (ASTM D395 Method B), heat ageing, ozone resistance, fluid swell and low-temperature tests run in our own lab, and cure curves run on our own ODR rheometer. PPAP is available on request. RoHS declarations are issued for all compounds.

FAQ

Technical & Commercial Questions

Answers to the most common questions from engineering teams and procurement managers worldwide.

  • What is the minimum order for edge trim?

There is no fixed number. The minimum is set by part size and tooling, and we quote it with the part. Send the drawing and your annual volume and you get both figures in one reply. Prototype and first-article lots sit outside the minimum.

  • Can you match an existing trim profile?

Yes. Send a short length of the old trim and the panel it fits. We cut the die to it and send a sample length for approval.

  • All-rubber or metal carrier: which do I need?

All-rubber suits a known panel thickness and a part that is fitted once. A metal carrier grips harder over a wider range. Send the panel range and we say which.

  • Do you send test reports with each shipment?

Yes, with every consignment: material test report, dimensional inspection sheet and certificate of conformance. Hardness, tensile to ASTM D412 and compression set to ASTM D395 Method B are tested in-house.

  • What are your payment and delivery terms for export orders?

TT and LC, agreed per order. Ex-works Nashik or FOB Nhava Sheva. The commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin (Nashik Chamber of Commerce) travel with every consignment.

Need this part quoted?

Send the profile drawing or a sample length, with the panel thickness range, the environment and your annual metres. We respond within 48 hours.
